Owner Jerry Jones made it clear there was interest in the Cowboys head coaching job before he turned it over to Jason Garrett on an interim basis.
On his weekly radio show with The Fan Friday morning, Jones made this declaration:
“I will say that before I made the decision with Wade Phillips, I had Super Bowl-winning coaches solicit this job,” Jones said on KRLD-FM.
